Juliette Maners, Stage Manager
Juliette has received an exceptional technical theater education from the sixth grade at Bak Middle School of the Arts, through Dreyfoos School of the Arts, to today at Rider University. Thanks to these high-intensity training programs, as well as her drive to gain the most experience possible, she possesses the necessary tools, skills, and stamina to take on the professional technical theatre world.
Alongside her performance endeavors, Juliette has jumped into the technical side of the industry with full force. Throughout her collegiate years, she Assistant Stage Managed Clean Slate: A World Premier Musical at the Passage Theatre Company in Trenton, New Jersey, Production Stage Managed new play Like Father, Like Son at The TANK Theater in New York City, and most recently Production Stage Managed The Pirates of Penzance at The Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Tech Background:
Juliette Maners has been honing her skills in stage management, production, carpentry/scenic construction, and props design and construction since entering Bak Middle School of the Arts. She still takes pride in the intricate, optical-illusion-composed golden goose puppet she constructed for Into the Woods at thirteen years old (the same age she used her first sliding compound miter saw)!
She expanded her technician skillset throughout her time at Dreyfoos School of the Arts, where, under the close mentorship of the late Broadway Technical Director, Ed Blanchette, she completed her first scenic design for the iconic farce “You Can’t Take it With You” and independently installed a pneumatic brake system to the set of Crazy For You in the mainstage season.
Today, Juliette holds a paid employee position in the Rider University Technical Theatre Program in the area of Props and continues to offer her skills on almost every production the program puts up.
You’re in a show at rider? Juliette has probably had something to do with it!
She will be graduating this spring with a minor in Arts and Entertainment Industries Management.
